選留好種兔；采用一次定的辦法，即待剪二刀毛時挑選產量高、毛品質更好，毛密度全身豐滿、分布均勻的1~2只留作種用，其余歸入產毛群作商品兔。對選 作種用的必須飼喂全價營養飼料且長期穩定不變，以保證種兔的性狀。
